Some shoe racks come with hocks. Now the hooks can be removable or fixed. Removable hooks are better because you can adjust them according to your needs. You can use the hooks for keys, coats, umbrellas, and whatever you want to hang. 

With the hooks, some shoe racks have a hanger with them. The hangers are usually on the side. The hangers are used like hooks and it’s best to keep an umbrella or keys on them. Otherwise, dirt and mud can get on your coat. 

The bench on the shoe rack is meant to be seated on. When you are wearing your shoes, it’s better to be seated rather than standing. This way your shoes won’t get damaged when you are putting them on. Also, it’s easier to put on a shoe when you are seated. 

Some shoe racks come with straps on the side. With these, you can attach the rack to the wall. This makes sure the rack will not fall over and make it more sturdy on its feet. And there are shoe racks that come with adjustable feet to make sure it’s even on the ground. 

The rack of shoe rack is the most important. Cause the main function of the shoe rack is to store shoes. And more the racks are there more the shoe you can keep. If the racks have grilled bottoms, you can easily clean them with a sweep on the floor. 

All of these are features you can find on shoe racks I have reviewed. Now, let me tell you how I have selected all of the shoe racks that I have reviewed. 

How I selected

A few years back I got a shoe rack to keep all of my shoes organized. Then I got the need for a coat hanger as well. But having two pieces of furniture in front of my gate was taking up a lot of space. So, I got on the search for a shoe rack with a coat hanger. 

While searching for the best shoe rack with a hanger, I came across a bunch on the internet. So, here I have the best 7 that I have narrowed down from all the shoe racks I have gone through.

There is also a hanging rod on top of the shoe rack. On the hanging rod, you can put your umbrella and coats. The hanging rod extends a few inches forward from the rack so it can separate from the hooks. The rod is also at the way top, so the coats won’t touch anything.

The hooks are right below the hanging rod and above the shoe bench. The hooks allow you to hang hats, keys, purses, bags or whatever you can hang. The hooks are also removable and you can place them as you desire. There are in total 9 hooks you can place items on.

The main usage of a shoe rack is to store shoes. And the shore storage is at the very bottom so you can pull them out even with your feet. The racks of the shoe storage are grilled, so any dust can fall off at the bottom. You can also store shoes at the very bottom of the floor. In total, you can keep up to 6 to 9 shoes. 

The shoe rack is also really sturdy and durable. There are handles on each side of the shoe rack so you can hold on to and grab up while moving. The legs of the shoe rack are 1.5 feet wide apart. So, it won’t fall over. 

But, there is one thing people find difficult about this shoe rack. Which is the assembly process of the shoe rack. Even though there are clear instructions on the box, you may need to spend some time to understand what goes where. 

Other than that, you also get to choose between 5 colors. Which are, charcoal grey, greige, honey brown, rusting brown, and rustic walnut. All of the colors come with a blacked-out metal frame.

But, the hooks are not removable like the first shoe rack I talked about. The hooks are screwed down to the wooden bar on top of the rack. 

But, this shoe rack also has a grilled bottom. The grilled bottom is especially helpful for easier cleaning. There are 2 grilled racks where you can place your shoes. In total, you can put up to 6 to 8 shoes on the rack. You can fit more if you own smaller shoes. 

On top of the shoe rack, you can find the shoe bench. The shoe bench is similar to the first shoe rack as well. The shoe bench is attached to a wooden board to increase the durability and comfort of the seat.

This shoe bench comes with adjustable feet. So you can lift it up a couple of inches. Also, the adjustable feet come in really handy when you have uneven ground to place the shoe rack. You can screw the feet to the right to increase their height. 

One unique feature of this shoe rack is the anti-slip straps on both sides. These straps help the shoe rack to be attached to the wall. This makes the shoe rack more durable and there is no way it can fall over. There are two straps on each side of the top of the rack. 

The shoe rack is durable and made with wood on a metal frame. There is no chance of bending and twisting. The shoe rack can take up to 220 lbs in total. Other than shoes, you can put plants, and boxes or use them as any kind of storage. 

One drawback is, there is no hanging rod on the top like the first shoe rack. Also, there are fewer colors to pick from. The colors are greige, rustic brown, and rustic walnut. All the colors come with a black metal frame.

If you own too many shoes this is the one for you. Cause there are 4 rows of shoe storage in this rack. You can store 12 to 14 shoes in these racks. Also, there is a top shelf for you to keep things like a plant or a vase full of flowers. 

But this means there is no shoe bench. No shoe bench means you have to own a separate stool to sit on while wearing shoes. But if you don’t want to have a shoe bench, this shoe rack is the one for you. 

At the very top of the shoe rack, you can find a storage shelf. Which you can use as storage and keep things out of sight. You can also keep plants to increase the looks around your house. Or keep boxes to hide things from guests. 

The shoe rack is also grilled so any dust and debris can fall off to the bottom and keep the shoe racks clean. You can also put a tray at the very bottom so it will collect all the dust particles. And you don’t have to clean the bottom floor every time. 

You can also find an anti-slip or anti-toppling kit on each side of the shelf. This is a similar feature we saw on the second shoe rack. This makes the shoe rack more stable and prone to falling over. 

But there are two drawbacks to this shoe storage. One is, the shoe rack has no removable hooks. But, each hook has two pins. And you can leave up to 6 lbs on each hook. Another drawback is, there is only one color available. The color is chestnut.

There are 4 columns of shoe storage. And then there are 3 rows. The rows can be adjusted to various heights according to your needs.

Boots have higher necks in comparison to other shoes. So the storage for them needs to have higher head space. There is 2 dedicated boot storage on each side. You also adjust their height as per your need. 

On top of the shoe store, you can find a bench you can sit on while wearing shoes. Seating while wearing shoes makes it easier for you to put the shoes on. The shoe rack is really durable and strong. The rack and hold up to 450 lbs in total, so seat with confidence. 

The whole shoe rack is made out of engineered wood. The rack is wide and deep enough to be stable on any floor. You can not only keep shoes but also keep plants, boxes, books, or whatever items you require to keep.

The hooks in the middle are where you keep your coat. Other than coats, you can keep umbrellas, keys, bags, hats, or whatever your heart desires. There are in total of 7 hooks. 

On the very top, you can find a rack of storage. You can keep books, boxes, plants, storage baskets, photo frames, etc. And, if you want to you can also use the top of the shoe rack as storage as well. 

Two drawbacks of this shoe rack are, there is no hanging rod and the hooks are not removable. Without any hanging rods, it’s hard to hang clothes hangers. Also, the shoe rack can be found in 3 colors. The colors are brown, vintage white, and white.

You can also, keep umbrellas on the hanging rod. The hanging rod comes a bit out from the rest of the shoe rack so it won’t touch the hooks.

But even on top of the hanging rod, you can find a shelf. This shelf can be used as storage. You can keep plants or boxes. If you want some things out of reach or general eyesight, this shelf is the one to use. 

Just below the hanging rod, you can find the hooks. The hooks are removable, so you can separate the distance between each hook to hang things separately. You can keep keys, coats, bags, hats, etc. 

The shoe storage is at the very bottom of the shoe rack. There is also a dedicated boot storage. The boot storage has a higher headroom. Other than that, you can keep 8 to 10 shoes in this shoe rack. 

The bottom of the shoe storage is grilled. So any dust or debris will fall below and keep your shoe rack clean. But you have to keep small items in a box or a tray. Since the bottom is grilled, small times can fall off. 

If you need more things to hang, you can find extra hooks on the side of the shoe rack. So you can hang items like umbrellas and shoe brushes. There are 4 hooks on each side. This brings the total number of hooks to 17. 

The feet of this shoe rack are also adjustable. So you can make sure the shoe rack is properly level when keeping on uneven ground. There is also an anti-slip kit on each side. With the kit, you can attach the shoe rack to the wall and increase the stability. 

There are two drawbacks. One being the shoe storage is small in comparison to other shoe racks I have talked about here. And the second thing is there is no shoe bench to seat on to. But there are three attractive colors. The colors are greige, rustic brown, and white.

Above the shoe storage, you can find a shoe bench. The shoe bench is made of a thick wooden board. The thickness of the board increases the durability and strength of the shoe storage. The thick board evenly spread the pressure across the feet of the shoe rack. 

Beside the shoe bench, you can see a metal piece attached to the bench and shoe rack frame. This increases the durability of the shoe rack and the bench. There are two metal reinforcers, one on each side. 

Below the hanging rod, you can find 7 hooks. But each hook has two points, so you can actually hang 14 items on the hooks. You can keep your coats, bags, hats, canes, and even headphones. 

One thing about this shoe rack you can struggle with is the number of shoes you can keep. And overall, this shoe rack is really simple. So, there is not much going on here. But you do get to choose two colors. There are dark and light gray oak colors.

There are both adjustable and non-adjustable hooks on this shoe rack. The non-adjustable hooks are attached to a wooden panel on top of the adjustable hooks. There are a total of 5 hooks with a total of 10 hooking points.
